Review: बहुरूपिया

बहुरूपिया बहुरूपिया by Surender Mohan Pathak
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

SMP has his own unique writing style. This novel is no exception.

Sudhir Kohli the “Lucky Bastard” detective is in action from the word go. He is banging a beauty and then he lets her go. Wife of a filthy rich businessman comes to him with a strange request. To protect her and her family from a madman who has come back from dead.

This is a multiple murder mystery case. The book moves forward very fast and there is no time to think for Sudhir, Inspector Yadav or anyone else. Dead bodies keep piling up. The murderer is elusive and is a master makeup man. Hence the name of novel.

The book has all the typical Sudhirpanti. The book moves at such a fast pace that there is no time to think. However, the climax was disappointing for me as so was the premise. The motive also was not big enough for all the mayhem.

One of the weak novels of SMP. However still very satisfying as I am a fan of SMP. 3/ 5 stars.
